Day Twelve Create

1) Today was a day of getting everything organized and what truly still needed to work on in my code. I made a google doc labeled Real create and made an outline for 2a)-2d) that needs to be finished by the end of class Friday. I looked over the code that I had so far and picked out what I knew that was an aberration and algorithm.

2) Today was a day of not programming the only I did was copy and paste a function into my news file that is almost finished.

3) There was no troubleshooting today because it was all about writing my written responses today.

Day Eleven Create

1) So today I was a little late to class due to my guidance appointment. When I arrived in class I started working on the last elements that my code needs to finish the create task.

2) The coding I worked on is calling items from a list that represent the characteristics is of a particular pokemon the user is going to call on.

3) I am still having trouble with one of my functions calling the list

Day Ten Create

1) Kept working on finishing the coding part so I can get started on my written part of the creative task.

2) For the coding process today I was able to get my menu options to call other functions that the user can call upon from their choices. The main coding was getting the list functions that I coding separately in another file that work and getting it to work by calling it fro another function.

3) So the trouble the other day that I got a good night rest from I looked at it again and the reason that the code was not working when I tried to run it was because I did not finish the code in the if/else statement. I made an outline of how I want the code to work and then commenting out the functions that are not made yet but the code was yelling at me because of the if part of the statement was not finished before the else statement finished.

Day Nine create

1)Today I created a new file to mess with my program around and start working on the user end and what I want them to achieve from the program.

2) They are giving an option to ask about the basic information about a particularly pokemon, they can go and register a pokemon they caught into the program. Which is what I started to code and was thinking about at the end when the program ends I want to show the user which pokemon they register into the Pokedex.

3) troubleshooting today was getting my program to work on the terminal but I have an error in my code saying something and I have no clue to fix but I ran out of time today and going to come back to it later

Day Eight Create

1) Today I executed code and working through troubleshooting.

2) when I was writing my code today I finished all the lists categories and started to temp my list so I can use the list later in the  and not ask for the user input again and just work with that one list and ask a question that will involve a counter asking how many Pokemon have you caught.

3) My troubleshooting is when I was temp the list because I was looking back at a code where my teacher used to teach a lesson with to demonstrate how to use you use the list later on. Somewhere in my mind, I thought I had to print out what I want when temp the list which made an error that I kept looking back and asking why it not working but rechecked separately the wording of her code which gave me that oooh moment and fixed my mistake by taking out the word print.

4) 3 I am slowly almost finished with all my requirements for college board and finished my code and end product but the score so low because of the written part and maybe the setback of wrapping the code up.

Day seven create

1) So today I was working on putting my pokemon information into their own list I kept separate was their Pokedex entry. I started to ask for menu options from the user to choose from with the list now

2) The code I wrote today was converted some of my if/else statements into their own list. Instead of asking for a condition I am storing all the separate information in one list that is associated with only one pokemon. In the list, the order is the pokemon type followed by Pokedex number, and then the egg group they are sorted in to round out the list for now. Then I worked on accessing the list I which I have to have written an if/else statement that can call on that one code and work with it much later

3) there was no trouble converting the if/else statements to their own individual list.

4) 2 because I feel like there is more to be done.

Day five Create

1) Today I was working on another part of my function and fixing up the way the information was stored.

2) While only a few lines of code were written it was starting to open the menu choices and then starting on my next part of the information where the user puts in keywords and it would follow to another function.

3) there was no problems calling on other code I was going for more of an appearance and messed around with my code and how it would look on the terminal screen.

Day six create

1) so today I finished the bast foundation to the code and started to expand all my if/else statements to list and then I will be able to work with each induvial pokemon later on bases on the type match how which pokemon will have a raw advantage based on their creation. 

2)The code I wrote today was finished up my menu options and then started to expand on the menu option that is associated with each of the pokemon into their own list. I also fixed up based on the game knowing the orders they were in.

3)Nothing went wrong today just make a new file to copy my foundation code so I can start messing around with lists.

Day four create

1) What happened today in this wonderful create project was added more function to be called by another function from the menu choices and slowly added each new menu option for the user to choose from.

2) So today I wrote code for each description of each pokemon that is in the code. The number matched up with pokemon it is associated with and then a description from the actual game was typed in for each one.

3)In today code there was no real errors or any small mistakes and made two new copies to avoid mistakes in my whole program.

4. 1.3 because I am slowly making groundwork in my program today.

Day three Create

1) Today I was able to code more of my code and start making the blueprints of the functions that need to be used and if I have time I could make the code flow more smoothly and also started to work on the appearance how I want the code to look on the terminal screen.

2) For the code written today finishing the menu choices and then put an if/else statement that equals the user input taking. So the function is printing the options the user can choose from and then asking the user for their input which is followed by an if/else statement which is calling other functions. The first function that was done was asking the user what Pokedex number they are looking for between 1-9. From asking the user what number they are looking for they are giving the Pokemon name and that just it. While right now if I wanted to expand my simple Pokedex to include more I could keep going with an if/else statement but it won't look as clean. My plan towards the end would be looking up a list already formed which the code can pull from and then give the user the name of the pokemon that is associated with the number they choice from.

3) There were some errors that I had trouble today when I was working with my if/else statements. When I wanted to have the code work on the terminal size I kept getting errors on the lines where my if/else statements started. When I looked over the code I noticed I was missing the end of finishing the code(:) but also during my menu options I was asking the user to pick one of the functions through numbers but when I tried to run I was able to get the user input but the if/else statement was not working. When I looked over my code the big problem is shown in the color 

if = '1':

     pokenum()

The code looks correct because the if is equaling the 1 if the user choose it but when looking back at my month code which was asking for the user to put in a month the if/else statement looked like this in the color

       print("March is month associated with the number 3")

The major difference is highlighted in the color. With my first code, I am saying assigning the number one in the if statement which does not want I want because it needs to equal the user input. With the second code, there is a double equal sign which is saying that when the user types in the number 3 the code recognize in the if statement that if the user said three then it equals three which is then it would print the month March. When I realized I make this mistake I went back in and put another equal sign which then was able to take the user input and go through the code that equals the user input. 

4) Today I felt its a 1.3 because I am in a place where I am able to call more functions from the menu choice but I was also able to make a blueprint of how the functions being called would be called on and how it should work in theory. 

Day two Create

1) Its day two and today was more coding and it was getting the person name to be placed elsewhere in the code and using an if/else statement to see what would happing if a person pressed enter on accident or doesn't want to be a name in there for now.

2)The code that was written today was cleaning up what I did yesterday and worked on a greeting to show the user what the program is going to do.

3)Nothing went truly wrong it was just getting the name in the right place and working through an if/else statement and the problems involved in there(switching around the wording)

4)1 because I finished the small function I started today and also cleaned up how the program looked on the terminal.

Day one of create

1) its day one so I only finalized on my creative project idea is then on a piece of paper wrote the functions, main, and my vision for the program will flow. They are some pieces that could be added later if there is more time in the end.
2) The code I have written was the greeting to open the program and see the text on my terminal screen. Its a stepping stone to starting stone to how I want the program to look.
3) nothing went majorly wrong where I wanted to give up but getting back in writing code and forgetting to add the small details(:) at the end of the line for the code.
4)1 because its only day one but I have a foundation/blueprint to get further along my code for day two.

encryption notes

1. A public key: is more secure because of one public key and private key and its called asymmetric. 
2. A private key: is the least source on its own because a symmetric key is where both parties have the same key to decode
3. CA: is certificate authority for a secure connection and who is going to the website is real and the https is working. Need https and works with CA to encrypt and it's one step to being secure. (The door is locked but does not mean it can still unlock)

IP Addresses and DNS

What is a protocol?

It is a well-set know of rules and standards used to communicate between machines.

What is an internet protocol(IP) address?

Is an address of numbers that are unique to each computer and network. A computer address is it internet protocol.

How is it organized hierarchically?

 The four numbers are a country/ network. Then region/network followed by subnetwork/device. Those are divided by subnetwork and the specific device. 

How many bits are in an IPv4 address?

There are 32 bits in an IPv4 address

How many IPv4 addresses does that mean there are?

More than 4 billion unique  address

What is the difference between IPv6 and IPv4?

An IPv6 address is much longer than an IPv4 because there are bits added on to help keep up with the fast pace internet that will keep expanding.

Why do we need IPv6?

The internet is fastly growing and each new computer or network needs there own addresses for another computer to communicate with them or a network.

What is an IP packet?

An IP packet is saying that there are many packages coming behind me to one destination but they will not all take the same route so they send a message to the destination saying what is supposed to arrive.

What is the difference between an IP address and an IP Packet?

An IP packet has many packages coming to one place but an Ip address is how the device or a network is able to communicate or reach information.

What is the purpose of the Domain Name System(DNS)?

The purpose of the DNS is how the computer is able to access the .com, .org, and .net to their own IP addresses. In each DNS server one server can't keep up with every computer so they are many but they have divided it into their own domain. 

Koan one

Summary
In the Koan one, it was talking about how computer intercept information about the daily activities we do in our personal or school life. While coming from the perspective of a phone that the majority of the population owns one. It talks about how the apps, calls, and messages all form back into simples bits that the computer takes from one computer to another when asked to. While they are layers to how the process is done the backbone is coming back to it being bits. Also, the law mentioned in the paragraph about how what being sends should be considered more secure because of what it could be contained inside.



Question 1
While the machinery and hardware won't change much because bits are bits. The computer is going to take what the sender wants to give to the receiver and vis verrsa. While in the article it mentions that the law won't be able to catch up the communication carriage of phone and computer. The law may be able to recognize what the general consider privacy and needs to more secure. Also what happens on the computer is all from the human action the computer just transfers or storing the information it was giving.

Question 2
How this affects my daily student life is the koan one is all about that the internet and how a computer process the information from emails to calls, messages, and etc. it is all just bits to the computer. bits that need to be transferred from computer to another. In my life, I always carry out my phone and computer to school. While I am in school there is nothing in my school or personal email messages or calls that I would be ashamed about embarrassed yes but nothing I would be like omg how did they get this. I also understand to the computer it has no emotion and it seems that this email has contents and needs to be sent to this computer. In the modern world, the phone and technology are considered a communication carriage.

 I keep answering 3.8 because I am just generally confused and it looks different from the others. I now remember that is looking for the remainder of the number is was asking for. So 5 goes in nineteen 3 times with four left over.

What Is missing from the code?
From the code, I understand that nothing was happening in the loop but it would still be able to print which is why I said don't change anything. When retaking the quiz the option was not avabile so I chose the initial value of X. In the code there was already an initial value for X. So that was a question I read to fast and did not relook at before trying it in. So the right answer was "a statement to change the value of X while in the loop". Which is correct because every other answer was correct. Also looking back the code would run on forever because X won't change.

What is the highest decimal value a single byte of data can hold?(255)

1. With this question, I keep thinking that a single byte is the first eight digits compared to the first four digits that represent 1,2,4, and 8. This question is just about me remembering the basic. 

Breakthrough tech!!

     From the article I just read about 10 Breakthrough technologies is from my explore task in the summer I wrote about the 3D printer I know about the printers are now able to melt down some metals and make a prototype through the pinter. I also knew that they metals were slowly improving to become faster to melt down but also stronger when the metals have cooled off. The 3d printer has become cheaper over time and has made it way into hobbyist and designers. The Artificial embryos have me intrigued but also concerned. It is really interesting on how they can take stem cells and are able to form an almost alive creature or the start of the process. For the Sensing city project, it just sounds weird to me. The one I found the most interesting was the genetic fortune telling. It like a report card on what could be wrong with you or predict what you could have in the future. It amazes me that already 1 million people have tried. I know the big companies of 23 and Me and also Ancestry offers their own kit of salvia sampling and figure out where you are from in the world and also what unique about your genotype.

For the ones, I found about interesting for society were artificial embryos, genetic fortune telling, sensing city, AI for everybody, and Babel fish Earbuds. While they are more from the article these are the one that jumped out to me for society because they affect in a pro or con. Either it can connect you to your lost ancestry or the human race may never have to reproduce expect to hand over stem cells. Also trying to fix the environment or trying to figure out human behavior throughout an urban area. The earbuds can break through language barriers. All of these inventions depend on human decisions. While it can connect the world together it is truly up to us to take that leap. When it comes down to the economy it takes a lot of money to start up the process. With each invention, it about playing the long gaming or perfecting your invention but also it has to sell and earn interest back either for the purpose of the invention or project. For the culture aspect, the Babel Fish Earbuds, as stated before, would break language barriers but also may disturb the culture part. While you may be able to understand the language in your native language it also part of their culture to speak it.

The internet is for everyone

The internet is for everyone was a concept from the mind of Vint Cerf as a plea to the people who write and define standards to make sure the engineering it available to everybody around the world.

1. It would be everywhere- While the first one of being affordability I believe that it more possible to make a system of where everybody in the world has access to a computer. In my school, they have computer labs. They have also started out with each kid had an Ipad but made the switch to each student have a computer thought out their schooling years. From my personal experience with a computer in school in the elementary levels, they have a cart of Ipads that are rented out for each classroom when they wanted to be used. When I got the middle school level they school gave a MacBook Air for each student throughout the year. At the end of out the 8th-grade year, they offered are computer up to sale for us to buy for the high school. If we decided not to buy our computer they offered the 8th graders computer up to the high school's students if they needed one. When I moved to Cap Cod Ma they offered chrome books to their students at Sandwich High school. 

Field trip!

      At the Chatham Maronci Maritime center, the station that stuck out to me was the enigma machine and the simulator that went along with them. I also enjoyed walking around the wireless station and learning about how the technology evolved. While it was nice to hear from someone who made a career in data science. I was bored but my reason behind it was I had no questions that needed to be answered. It was a nice presentation and learned about what you go do in the field. I am not going to lie but I almost fell asleep on station one which was the movie station. The movies were interesting to watch but I know from my learning habits. I enjoy to do hand on activity. Which is why I enjoyed the Enigma machine. When building one with all the telephones I enjoyed looking inside the machines when it taking apart. For the presentation, I enjoyed that I go to see another perspective about a field that is in computer science. Back to my original thought I just knew nothing about data science to ask questions and felt a little confused about what it is. I would have enjoyed it more if someone else int he computer science field came in talked as well.

Fahrenheit

In this lab, we were set on our own and made our code to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. the biggest problem in this lab was getting used to working in CS50 after not using it for a while. For the code, I knew what needed to be done but has trouble remembering the small details. Such as (%.1f\n), I went back into my calculator project and then remembered to add it in. Also in this lesson, we used the CHECK 50 and STYLE 50. Not going to lie I did forget my password to it took a while to make the CHECK 50 work. Once I got my password down the code ran smoothly and passed. Then the STYLE 50 gave looking good. While the CHECK 50 gave me all smiley faces.
